Elvis Andrus leaves with tight hamstrings

MINNEAPOLIS -- Elvis Andrus was taken out of Saturday's game in the fourth inning because of tight hamstrings.

Cristian Guzman took Andrus' place at shortstop and at the leadoff spot in the batting order.

Andrus, who just turned 22 last month, has missed just six games this season and all were because the club wanted to get him a day off. He does not have a history of hamstring issues.

Coming into Saturday's game, Andrus was hitting .277 with no homers and 33 RBI. He has 29 stolen bases and a .357 on-base percentage.
