Rays grab first lead of series in 8th, 3-2

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Texas Rangers manager Ron Washington went to closer Neftali Feliz with two out in the bottom of the eight after Darren O'Day struck out the only man he faced. Feliz walked the first man he faced and then gave up an RBI single to John Jaso, giving the Tampa Rays a 3-2 lead, their first of the series.

The Rays sent seven batters to the plate in the inning. Darren Oliver started the inning and got Matt Joyce looking. But Dan Johnson doubled and Pena singled him in to tie it at 2-2. That was it for Oliver and then O'Day did his job.

But, Feliz, who initially struggled when he entered Game 1, did so again. Only Dustin Nippert remains in the Rangers pen.

Ian Kinsler hit a solo home run to lead off the bottom of the seventh for a 2-1 lead. It moved the Rangers six outs from possibly clinching the ALDS.
