ARLINGTON, Texas -- David Murphy will likely start in left field in Game 2 and Julio Borbon could get his first start of the ALCS in Game 4 at Yankee Stadium, Texas Rangers manager Ron Washington said.
Murphy played in Games 3 and 4 of the ALDS, his first action back from a strained left groin that likely still isn't quite 100 percent. He went 1-for-7 at the plate, singling in his first at-bat.
"He's not complaining about anything, so, even if he hadn't hurt it I don't think he would be 100 percent," Washington said. "He's good enough to play."
Washington said Borbon could start against Yankees Game 4 probable starter A.J. Burnett. Borbon was hitless with two strikeouts in the ALDS.
"Got to get him in there somewhere," Washington said.
