Rangers add two, lead 3-0 after two

ARLINGTON, Texas -- David Murphy took Yankees pitcher Phil Hughes deep and Michael Young punched a double down the first-base line as the Rangers increased their lead to 3-0 after two innings.

The Rangers sent eight batters to plate in the second inning, but they left the bases loaded. The Yankees intentionally walked Josh Hamilton to load them up for Vladimir Guerrero, who sent a grounder to third baseman Alex Rodriguez. He beat Michael Young to the bag and the inning was over.

Hughes has faced has 13 batters and thrown 55 pitches in the first two innings.
