Lance Berkman gets Yanks on board

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Lance Berkman singled down the first-base line to knock in Robinson Cano, who doubled to lead off the top of the fourth, and cut the Rangers' lead to 5-1.

Berkman took a wide turn around first and then realized he couldn't make it to second and was dead in his tracks to end the inning. Rangers starter Colby Lewis has dodged trouble through four innings, allowing the one run on four hits. The Yankees have left four on base.

Yankees pitcher Phil Hughes is back on the mound to pitch the bottom of the fourth.
