NEW YORK – The difference in October weather at Yankee Stadium and Rangers Ballpark is almost as stark a contrast as the teams’ postseason history.
We’re a long way from the 80-degree temperatures in Arlington. The projected low around these parts tonight is 47 degrees.
The chance for rain is a bigger concern than the temperature, though. According to weather.com, there is a 60-percent chance of showers tonight and 70-percent chance of rain tomorrow, although it is expected in the morning.
If a game gets rained out, the make-up date would be Thursday. That could result in the Yankees skipping struggling starter A.J. Burnett in the rotation.
"It's nothing we can do about it,” Ron Washington said of the weather. “We were certainly hoping we could come through New York and have all these beautiful days. But, this time of year, it don't always happen. Let's hope the bad weather part of it is early and it's out of the way late."
