We're ready to play ball at World Series

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- Both teams have been introduced, the National Anthem was sung (nice job by John Legend) and we are just about ready to start this Game 1.

During the Ranger introductions, Bengie Molina got the biggest hand, as you can imagine. The San Francisco crowd showed its appreciation. Molina was catching Cliff Lee's warmup pitches in the bullpen down the right field line. He stopped and put his right fist in the air to acknowledge the crowd. It was a neat moment.

Giants Hall of Famers Orlando Cepeda, Gaylord Perry (pitched for the Rangers at one point) and Willie McCovey, among others, helped throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

This crowd is juiced and ready to go.
