Giants homer has Rangers on the clock

ARLINGTON, Texas -- The San Francisco Giants' kid catcher that made Bengie Molina available to be traded to the Texas Rangers launched what could be a crushing blow, both in Game 4 and the World Series.

Buster Posey destroyed a Darren O'Day changeup onto Green's Hill for a 4-0 lead in the eighth inning.

It is the second time in this series that O'Day has surrendered a home run to the first batter he's faced. Juan Uribe blasted a three-run shot off him in Game 1 after Cliff Lee left.

In tonight's game, the Rangers were desperate to keep the deficit at 3-0 with six outs to play with. The Rangers have received no offensive production from the meat of their order as young left Madison Bumgarner has dominated the lineup. O'Day relieved Darren Oliver, who started the inning by getting Aubrey Huff to ground out.

Texas manager Ron Washington went to O'Day specifically to pitch to Posey. He did the same thing last night and O'Day got Posey to ground out on a 3-2 pitch.
