Mark Prior no longer a bullpen option

ESPN New York is reporting that, according to a source, pitcher Mark Prior has reached an agreement on a minor league contract with the New York Yankees.

General manager Jon Daniels has said the Rangers were interested in inviting Prior to spring training to see if he could contribute out of the bullpen.

Prior hasn't pitched in the majors since 2006 because of injuries. He made a brief appearance in the Rangers organization last year, signing a minor league deal in September and pitching one inning for Triple-A Oklahoma City.
