Chris Davis talked with 103.3 ESPN's Ian Fitzsimmons earlier today (an interview that you can hear this afternoon on Galloway & Company) and discussed his solid spring training so far, what he's learned and his goals.
Davis said he isn't sure where he might end up playing the bulk of his career, but that "it's time to get to work and find a big league job."
Davis said he "got some things figured out and squared away" in winter ball in the Dominican Republic.
"My body feels good right now, rested and ready to go," Davis said.
The infielder is playing third base this spring, something he did a lot in the minors last season (but not in winter ball, where he played 1B or DH).
"I think it definitely opens some doors for me," Davis said. "I'm not sure where I'm going to be, but it gives me some flexibility to play first and third and maybe can open some doors down the road for me."
