Brandon Webb to throw live BP Wednesday

SURPRISE, Ariz. -- Rangers pitching coach Mike Maddux said the plan is for Brandon Webb to throw live batting practice on Wednesday. His last one was shut down because of weather.

It will be Webb's fourth session. If all goes well, Maddux indicated Webb would get a chance to pitch in a minor league game. He is not scheduled to pitch in a Cactus League game, where the Rangers need to get innings for pitchers that could start the season with the big club.

Webb is probably at least a month behind, but has been progressing and has been pleased with how he's building arm strength.
