Rangers trail going to the seventh

ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Rangers are trailing the Angels at Rangers Ballpark, 2-1.

The Angels' Alberto Callaspo has done all the damage. He tied the score, 1-1, with a two-out RBI double to left, scoring Maicer Izturis in the fourth inning.

The game remained that way until the sixth. With one out and a man on, Callaspo doubled to left-center, sending Howie Kendrick home for a 2-1 lead.

Rangers starter Derek Holland had an above-average outing -- he had a 6.37 ERA in his previous five starts. Holland was pitching on six days' rest for the first time all season.

Holland finished his day allowing just two runs on six hits in six innings of work. He struck out four and walked three on 105 pitches.

The Rangers got their only run of the game when Adrian Beltre stroked a single to right to score Mitch Moreland to give the team a 1-0 lead in the second. But Angels starter Dan Haren has held the Rangers down going into the seventh inning. He's allowed four hits in six innings with four strikeouts.
