Fans evacuated into service tunnels

ARLINGTON, Texas -- As a precaution, the Rangers are evacuating fans into the service tunnels under Rangers Ballpark in Arlington due to severe weather.

Tuesday's game was stopped at 8:23 p.m. Dallas time by the umpires, who were told an oncoming storm cell was approaching the stadium as lightning flickered all over the sky.

Fans went out of the stadium through the visiting and home dugouts, out through the large gates in left field and right-center field and through the concourses. Rangers officials called it a precaution as heavy rain and hail has already fallen at the park.

The White Sox lead the Rangers, 4-2, midway through the fourth inning.
