Michael Young leads All-Star voting at DH

Rangers designated hitter Michael Young leads the voting at his position for next month's All-Star Game. He has a slight lead over David Ortiz. Young is likely to make the team anyway, with Rangers manager Ron Washington picking the reserves. But if he's voted in, that gives the manager another spot to work with.

Young was moved to DH over the offseason when the Rangers signed Adrian Beltre to play third base. Beltre is second in the balloting at third base, nearly 200,000 votes behind Alex Rodriguez.

At this point, Josh Hamilton is also in line to start in the All-Star Game. He's third, nearly 75,000 votes ahead of Ichiro Suzuki. The top-3 votegetters in the outfield start. Nelson Cruz is fifth in the voting.

Other Rangers: Ian Kinsler is third at second base, Elvis Andrus is third at short, Mitch Moreland is fourth at first base and Yorvit Torrealba is fifth among catchers.
