ARLINGTON, Texas -- As the media filed into the home clubhouse at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, catcher Mike Napoli was wearing his Dwyane Wade jersey. And hanging in his locker was a similar one for LeBron James.
"I grew up there and have always been a fan," Napoli said. "I know people either love them or hate them now."
Napoli was pleased that the Heat outlasted the Mavericks in Game 3 of the NBA Finals, but he's not ready to proclaim the Heat as NBA champions yet.
"I think this thing goes seven," Napoli said. "The Mavericks are awesome. Dirk is playing great and all the games have been close. But I think the Heat win by one in Game 7. How about that?"
Napoli said he didn't get a chance to go to Game 3 right after the Rangers' charter landed from completing a road trip in Cleveland. But he watched on television and sweated through the final minute like everyone else.
"It's been a fun series," Napoli said. "I wish I could go."
