Rangers right-hander Scott Feldman, who has been on the disabled list all season after undergoing microfracture surgery on his right knee last November, will begin a minor league rehab assignment at Double-A Frisco on Saturday.
Feldman will start and is scheduled to pitch three or four innings and throw 60-70 pitches against the San Antonio Missions at Dr Pepper Ballpark.
Feldman had three starts in a rehab assignment in May with Frisco and Triple-A Round Rock, but was removed May 24 because of leg and knee soreness. He posted a 2-0 record and 4.32 ERA in 16 2/3 innings pitched during that stint.
RHP Eric Hurley (concussion, 60-day DL) is is expected to begin a minor league rehab assignment next week. He threw 45 pitches in a simulated game at the Rangers' minor league complex in Surprise, Arizona on Friday and will throw a bullpen session Sunday before going out on assignment.
