Mike Napoli goes on DL (oblique)

Rangers catcher/first baseman Mike Napoli has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left oblique muscle. The club announced the move Sunday.

Catcher Taylor Teagarden was recalled from Triple-A Round Rock to replace Napoli on the roster and will be with the team for today's series finale against the Twins.

Napoli has been bothered by the oblique strain for several days and aggravated it during Saturday’s 8-1 loss to the Twins. He is batting .221 with 10 homers and 25 RBIs in 46 games.

Teagarden is 0-for-3 with a walk in three games with the Rangers this season.
