Matchup: Ivan Nova vs. Derek Holland

NEW YORK -- The second game of this three-game series features LHP Derek Holland and right-hander Ivan Nova -- the battle of the 24-year-olds. Here's a quick look at the matchup:

Holland (5-1, 4.41 ERA): In his last start, Holland gave up four runs on eight hits in 7 1/3 innings in a loss to the Twins. Holland got a no-decision as the Twins won late off the Rangers' bullpen. He matched his career-high in strikeouts with 10. ...So far, his June has been better than May. Though it's only two starts, Holland has pitched at least into the eighth inning in both of them. Nova's win came in Arlington on May 6. He lost to the Rangers at Yankee Stadium on April 15 after giving up five runs on four hits in 4 1/3 innings.

Hitters: Michael Young is 2-for-6 with a double and two RBIs off Nova.
