Rangers make roster move

ARLINGTON -- The Rangers made a few roster moves before Friday night's game against the Oakland A's.

The club placed infielder Andres Blanco on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to Thursday with a stress reaction in his lower back. He's been getting treatment for it for about a week.

Infielder Omar Quintanilla was moved from Triple-A Round Rock to the big club to replace Blanco. Quintanilla, 29, who played college ball at Texas, hit .298 in 51 games for Round Rock.

To make room on the 40-man roster, the Rangers moved right-handed starter Scott Feldman from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day DL. Feldman, who is recovering from knee surgery, didn't have a setback in rehab, but the move was procedural more than anything.

Also, relief pitcher Dave Bush cleared waivers and is now a free agent.
