Bengie Molina gets ALCS ring tonight

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Bengie Molina, who endeared himself to Rangers fans as the primary catcher in last season’s run to the World Series, returns to Rangers Ballpark tonight when Texas hosts Seattle at 7:05.

Molina will receive his 2010 AL championship ring and will also throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

Besides leadership and solid defensive work, Rangers manager Ron Washington said Molina is remembered for two at-bats in particular: a three-run homer in Game 4 of the ALCS win over the Yankees and an unlikely triple at Boston when the slow-footed Molina hit for the cycle.
