ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Rangers second baseman Ian Kinsler stole third base in the fourth inning on Tuesday at Angel Stadium, giving him 30 stolen bases on the season. He hit his 32nd homer, a career-high, one inning earlier and now has two career 30-30 seasons. The other came in 2009 (31 HRs, 32 SBs).
The only other Ranger to have at least 30 homers and 30 stolen bases in the same season was Alfonso Soriano in 2005. Kinsler is one of only 12 players in major league history to have multiple 30-30 seasons. Soriano has done it three times (2002, 2003, 2005).
He received a big cheer from the dugout when he swiped the base and lots of high-fives when he got to the dugout after scoring the club's fifth run of the game.
Kinsler also is 3-for-3 on the night and is a triple shy of the cycle.
