Rangers return favor, Cards tie it at 3

ST. LOUIS -- The Rangers returned the favor in the bottom of the fourth as two misplays led to the Cardinals tying Game 6 in the bottom of the third inning, 3-3.

Lance Berkman reached when first base umpire Jerry Layne ruled Colby Lewis' foot left the bag on the stretch. Berkman ended up scoring on a Yadier Molina grounder to third. But before that, Berkman was able to get to third when Elvis Andrus threw the ball away trying to complete a 4-6-3 double play off the bat of David Freese.

That set up runners at the corners with one out and Molina delivered the grounder deep to Adrian Beltre at third.
