Another error, walk allows Cards to tie, 4-4

ST. LOUIS -- A second error on first baseman Michael Young and a bases-loaded walk by reliever Alexi Ogando allowed the Cardinals to tie Game 6, 4-4, but it could have been much worse.

Another strange inning got started with Albert Pujols striking out looking and then Lance Berkman reaching on an infield hit. Matt Holliday then reached on Young's fielding error. Colby Lewis then walked David Freese to load the bases. That was it for Lewis, who gave way to the struggling Ogando.

His troubles continued as he walked Yadier Molina to tie the game and keep the bases loaded.

Then Holliday made an incredible mistake and got picked off at third. Catcher Mike Napoli made a laser throw from his knees to record a huge second out. Ogando then walked Nick Punto after getting ahead 0-2. Manager Ron Washington pulled the plug and called for lefty Derek Holland.

Holland kept it a tie game by getting John Jay on a come-backer to the mound.
