SURPRISE, Ariz. -- Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus said his left heel is just a little sore after a Plantar's wart was taken off it on Friday.
Andrus will not participate in the club's first full-squad workout today and is listed as day-to-day.
"I shouldn't be out long, we'll just see how it feels," Andrus said.
Other injury notes:
* RHP Mike Adams is scheduled to throw to hitters for five minutes today. He did not throw to hitters with the rest of his pitching group on Saturday just to give himself an extra day. He's slightly behind the rest of the staff after undergoing hernia surgery and did not throw off a mound until he arrived in Surprise.
"I wanted to give it some extra rest," Adams said. "I feel good, though I'm a little sore. That's to be expected."
* First baseman Mitch Moreland continues to participate in activities. The club has limited him to no more than 75 swings for now, but his wrist feels good and he's happy with how it's responded.
