Notes: Rotation set for first 5 spring games

SURPRISE, Ariz. -- While the date of Yu Darvish's first start was the one that most folks were interested in, the Rangers did announce the dates of the opening Cactus League starts for the rest of the rotation too. Here's how that breaks down:

The rest of the rotation lines up like this for the start of spring training:

March 4: Colby Lewis, Scott Feldman

March 5: Derek Holland, Alexi Ogando

March 6: Matt Harrison

March 7: Darvish

March 8: Neftali Feliz

That's not how the rotation will likely line up when the season starts.

"It doesn't mean anything right now," manager Ron Washington said.

The skipper reiterated that he'd like to split the left-handed starters at some point, but for now, the starters will pitch on this schedule and modifications can be made during March.

Other notes:

* Feliz impressed coaches with his changeup to live hitters on Monday. Washington also liked the starter's attitude. Feliz is going about his business as he makes the transition from closer to starter. We'll have more on him in the coming days.

* RHP Mike Adams says he feels fine and will likely throw again Tuesday. He's still behind the rest of the pitchers because Adams didn't throw his first bullpen until he arrived in Surprise. The rest of the staff threw five or six before they got out here.

* There's an MLBPA meeting scheduled for Tuesday morning, meaning the Rangers may not start workouts until noon or later, so it's going to be a longer day than normal.
