Injuries: Yoshinori Tateyama has stiff back

SURPRISE, Ariz. -- Reliever Yoshinori Tateyama has been dealing with a stiff lower back the past few days and manager Ron Washington acknowledged the possibility that he could start the season on the disabled list.

If the club does put Tateyama on the DL, it would mean that the bullpen is set with Robbie Ross as the lefty and Mark Lowe and Koji Uehara filling the final spots.

Other injuries:

* LHP Neal Cotts, who was one of the final two left-handed relievers in camp, has a strianed lat muscle and won't be able to throw for 10 to 14 days. He's expected to get an MRI on Monday to see how severe it is.

* OF Josh Hamilton (groin) said he felt better Sunday and took some swings in the batting cages. He's slated to play Monday night in Round Rock against the Triple-A Express.

* C Yorvit Torrealba was scratched from Sunday's lineup. The club said he had just taken some bumps and bruises Saturday and decided not to play him.

* OF David Murphy (food poisoning) was in the lineup Sunday and participated in everything Saturday at camp as well. He had missed Friday.
