Rangers acquire OF Ryan Spilborghs

The Texas Rangers acquired Ryan Spilborghs from Cleveland in exchange for cash considerations and assigned the outfielder to Triple-A Round Rock. He will not be on the 40-man roster.

Spilborghs, 32, had a .250 batting average with Triple-A Columbus with one homer, 13 RBI and 12 runs in 21 games. He is a career .272 hitter with 42 home runs and 218 RBI in 619 major-league games with the Colorado Rockies from 2005-11.
