BALTIMORE -- Texas Rangers slugger Josh Hamilton admitted that the postponement of Wednesday's game because of rain might actually help him as he prepares to play his first game since hitting four home runs Tuesday.
Hamilton was the 16th player in big league history to do that and was set for his encore Wednesday.
"Maybe it will be a good thing and calm me down," Hamilton said. "I was nervous."
That's understandable. Now that he's accomplished the feat, everyone is curious to see what he'll do next. Hamilton has never faced the Orioles' starter Wei-Yin Chen.
“I’ll watch a little film and try to understand what he throws and how he throws it,” Hamilton said. “If he doesn’t throw me strikes, I’ll pass it on (Adrian) Beltre.”
