Roy Oswalt will make his third tune-up start Tuesday night at Frisco when the Double-A RoughRiders face the Midland RockHounds, the Rangers announced Sunday.
Oswalt, who was signed as a free agent by the Rangers on May 29, made two previous starts for Triple-A Round Rock as he prepares for his return to the majors.
Oswalt, 34, made 23 starts last year for the Philadelphia Phillies but did not sign with any team during the offseason.
Before his first start for Round Rock, Oswalt said he'd need four starts to get ready to join the Rangers. There's no telling if that timetable will be moved up after Alexi Ogando left Sunday's game early with a groin injury.
