He gave up six runs on seven hits in four innings in a loss to the New York Yankees on July 27 and then allowed six runs on nine hits in 4 2/3 innings in a loss to Detroit. ... Cook has allowed eight homers this season, four of them in his last two losses. ... Cook has never faced the Rangers.
