On Jurickson Profar's potential and whether he can help in October:

I think a lot of people want to see the kid play, there's no doubt about it. But you got to remember he's 19 years old and he's got plenty of time for seasoning. I think he's a very good player and we've seen, obviously, what he's capable of. But he's still got a long way to go and I think right now he's learning, more than anything. ...

Yeah I think he can (help us in the postseason), there's no doubt about it. I don't necessarily think he's going to help us more if he plays now or he's going to help us less if he doesn't play. ...

You've got to remember also, if he plays now, he's still going to be sitting through the American League playoffs. He's not going to be getting a lot of opportunities to play once the playoffs start, once we get down towards the end trying to clinch ... You know he's not going to get an opportunity to play, so what's the point of playing him now when he's going to be sitting another month anyway?

On whether fatigue has been a factor over the last couple years:

I don't think so. I mean it's just a process and it's a part of the game. We've been fortunate enough to play the most games in baseball the last two seasons. Yeah, that can wear you down but it also teaches you a lot. It teaches you how to maintain and make sure that you're ready when the games really are important and that's October. That's what this team is aiming to get to is get to October and play our best baseball in October. Nothing's handed to you and we're definitely not certain to make the playoffs but that's our goal and our goal is to be playing the best baseball when we get there.
