ARLINGTON, Texas -- Texas Rangers reliever Mike Adams is awaiting results of an MRI on his shoulder after his trapezius muscle bothered him again while giving up three runs in the eighth inning of Thursday's win over the Oakland A's.
Adams said he's going to "take a step back" and let the muscle heal and isn't sure how long he could be out.
Asked if he could be ready for Game 1 of the ALDS, assuming the Rangers get there, Adams said: "We'll see."
Also, Yu Darvish threw a full bullpen session Friday and even caught footballs with some of the Rangers pitchers, declaring that his stiff neck is fine. He's scheduled to start Sunday against Zack Greinke and the Los Angeles Angels.
