ESPN.com's Buster Olney ranked the top-10 infields in baseball and he puts the Texas Rangers at No. 1. Here's part of what he wrote:
The left side of the Texas infield is dynamic defensively, with MVP candidate Adrian Beltre at third and the improved Elvis Andrus at shortstop. Andrus is only 24 years old and still developing as an offensive player, and he showed in the first half that he has room to grow.
Olney says that Ian Kinsler is the "X-factor" noting that the club needs a bounce-back year from him at the plate and that he could be asked to play a different position if Jurickson Profar gets a chance to play every day.
There's plenty more from Olney if you click here (insider).
BTW, the top-5 on Olney's list:
1. Texas Rangers
2. Detroit Tigers
3. Cincinnati Reds
4. Tampa Bay Rays
5. New York Yankees
