Injuries: Lance Berkman, Adrian Beltre run

SURPRISE, Ariz.--Lance Berkman and Adrian Beltre both participated in running drills on Saturday and performed well according to Texas Rangers manager Ron Washington.

"They're still going to be slow paced," Washington said about the gradual ramp up toward their returns. "They got out of it well. They felt good. This is by design in making sure Berkman is ready and Beltre as well."

Washington wouldn't reveal a return date for Berkman until he first informs his new designated hitter. Berkman said he is eyeing Wednesday, as the day he'll make his Rangers debut.

Both players will participate in running drills again on Sunday.
