Martin Perez makes rehabilitation start

Texas Rangers pitcher Martin Perez made a rehabilitation start Monday night for Double-A Frisco.

Perez threw 53 pitches (34 strikes) in four innings of work. He allowed five hits and one earned run, while striking out one and walking none.

Perez has been out since March 3, when he fractured his wrist after being struck with a line drive.

Perez was 1-4 with a 5.45 ERA in 12 games (six starts) last season.
