Mitch Moreland exits, hamstring trouble

BOSTON -- Texas Rangers first baseman Mitch Moreland left Wednesday night's game against the Boston Red Sox with tightness in his right hamstring and will fly home Thursday morning to have an MRI.

Moreland started the Rangers' two-run seventh-inning rally with a double to start the inning. He slowed down between first and second base.

Jeff Baker replaced Moreland. The Rangers later took a 3-1 lead on a two-run double by Elvis Andrus.

Moreland is batting .288 with 12 home runs and 29 RBIs.
