Lindblom (0-1, 7.71): Lindblom gets a second chance to start. His first time didn't go well on May 20 as Oakland tagged him for seven hits and four runs in a 9-2 loss. Lindblom lasted 4 2/3 innings and had four strikeouts and two walks and was returned to Triple-A Round Rock the next day. ... Lindblom has pitched well for the Express with a 6-0 record and a 2.04 ERA for 10 games (9 starts). ... He has the lowest ERA among Pacific Coast League qualifiers and he's tied for fourth in wins. ... Lindblom is 2-0 with a 2.18 ERA in his last three minor league starts with a win over Nashville last Sunday. ... The Rangers turned Lindblom into a starter at the end of spring training after he had spent all of his short big league career as a reliever. ... Kazmir (3-3, 5.24): Kazmir makes his 10th start of the season. ... The left-hander will pitch on five days rest after taking a 4-3 loss to the Yankees on Tuesday night. Kazmir allowed four runs in six innings to the Yankees. He had seven strikeouts, walked two and gave up seven hits, including a home run, a three-run shot by Mark Teixeira in the third inning. ... Kazmir has been tough on the Rangers with a 6-3 record and a 2.87 ERA. ... He's been undaunted by Rangers Ballpark in Arlington with a 3-2 record and a 2.70 ERA. ... He hasn't won on the road this year with an 0-3 mark and a 6.66 ERA. ... He's trying to end the Tribe's seven-game losing streak.
Hitters: Cleveland's Michael Bourn has two hits in two at-bats against Lindblom with a double and an RBI. Adrian Beltre (6-for-16) has the best batting average of any Rangers hitter against Kazmir, but hasn't done much damage with his hits.
