Grimm did throw a career-high 108 pitches while pitching 7 2/3 innings. He's struggled to keep the ball down and up home runs to the Blue Jays' Colby Rasmus and J.P. Arencibia. ... Grimm still leads all American League rookies with five wins and 55 strikeouts. ... He is 0-1 with a 6.75 ERA against Oakland.
Milone (6-6, 3.61): Milone is another A's starter on a consistent roll. He is 3-1 with a 3.49 ERA over his last six starts, holding opponents to a .233 batting average. ... He doesn't give up many free passes, averaging 1.91 walks per nine innings, 10th in the American League. ... Milone did lose his last start, falling to Seattle 3-2 despite allowing just two runs in 6 2/3 innings. ... He has received six runs of support in his six losses this year. ... Milone is 0-2 with a 2.50 ERA in three career starts against the Rangers, all of which have come in Arlington.
