Wash to Garza: Keep us in the game

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Right-hander Matt Garza makes his Rangers debut on Wednesday night.

Manager Ron Washington wants one thing from his pitcher.

"Same as I have for all of our pitchers, 'keep us in the ball game,'" Washington said. "That's it. And I know he will do that."

Garza, acquired from the Chicago Cubs on Monday, has been doing that with great results. He is 5-0 with a 1.24 ERA for his last six starts. He is a five-game winning streak, the best single-season run of his career.
