HOUSTON -- Right-hander Neftali Feliz, coming back from Tommy John surgery, tried to warm up during Sunday's game for Triple-A Round Rock, but stopped.
He has been shut down for the moment with right triceps tendinitis. The Rangers don't believe it is serious and said it is a common issue for pitchers coming off Tommy John surgery.
Feliz was supposed to pitch an inning Saturday but wasn't able to go. He didn't allow a run in 2/3 innings Thursday for Round Rock, but he did load the bases.
Feliz had ligament replacement surgery on Aug. 1 of last year. He hasn't pitched for the Rangers in a game since May 18 of last year.
