Miles Austin getting high tender

We're getting information little-by-little on which Cowboys received tender offers today and wide receiver Miles Austin got the highest tender possible, a first-and-third round tender deal worth $3.168 million.

Also receiving tender offers today were wide receiver/special teams ace Sam Hurd, defensive end Stephen Bowen and backup tackle Pat McQuistan.

Hurd and Bowen picked up second-round tender offers worth $1.759 million. McQuistan got an original tender offer -- the right of first refusal plus a selection in the round that McQuistan was originally drafted (seventh) -- worth $1.176 million.

But the biggest deal goes to Austin, which gives the Cowboys a little advantage in terms of bidding against other teams. If another team wants Austin, it must give up a first and third round draft pick, in addition to paying Austin a big money salary, which the Cowboys can match.

UPDATE: Also, cornerback Cletis Gordonsigned a one-year contract extension this afternoon. Terms were not disclosed.
