Prospect additions for 2011-12
Among the prospects coming in next season will be forwards Scott Glennie and Matt Fraser and defensemen Brenden Dillon, Jace Coyle and Hubert Labrie. All are likely to start with the Texas Stars of the AHL next season, although Labrie’s status is up in the air because he missed most of this season with a knee injury.
Goaltender Jack Campbell and defenseman Patrik Nemeth both have signed entry-level contracts, but they are expected to stay with the teams they played with this past season. In Campbell’s case that would be Windsor of the OHL and in Nemeth’s it would be AIK of the Swedish Elite League.
The Stars could end up signing Swedish defenseman John Klingberg to an entry-level contract, but he will spend next season playing with Jokerit of Finland’s top league.
The team’s prospects in college will stay in college.
