It's interesting that there's even a debate as to who should start in nets for the Stars when they take on Detroit in Joe Louis Arena at 6:30 p.m. tonight. Programming note: We will have a live in-game chat tonight. I'll be watching the TV just like you, and we'll discuss the Stars (and anything else that comes up).
Alex Auld started in Detroit on Nov. 18 and got the 3-1 win. It was the first of back-to-back games and coach Marc Crawford wanted to see how Auld would respond on the road against a tough opponent. And Marty Turco's record is 5-11-5 with a 2.89 GAA against the Red Wings.
But your starting goaltender has to play in games like this. It's why Turco should start tonight, regardless of his record against Detroit. And I expect him to play well.
Do you agree? Would you start Turco?
