About the Stars

The Stars (6-1-0) won their fifth straight game, beating the Ducks 3-1 in Anaheim Friday night. Kari Lehtonen made 35 saves and Loui Eriksson had two goals and one assist for the Stars, who kicked off of a stretch of four straight games against Pacific Division foes.

"It's a very tough division, and there's a lot of parity," defenseman Stephane Robidas said. "We lost our last game last year, and that's why we didn't make the playoffs. So every point that we can get is huge. So early in the season, we've got to take advantage and make sure we're ready to play every night."

The 6-1-0 record ties the franchise mark for best record after seven games, equaling the starts by the 1996-97 and 2006-07 teams.

Injuries: None

About the Kings

The Kings (4-1-1) are coming off a 2-0 win in Phoenix on Thursday. Jonathan Quick stopped 28 shots for his second straight shutout.

“If there could be a textbook way for us to play the game, it’s going to be like the last couple games for us,” said Kings defenseman Rob Scuderi. “(Quick) has made the real big stops when we’ve needed them, but for the most part I think we’ve kept it pretty clean in front of him.”

So far this season the Kings have allowed only nine goals in six games.

Injuries: D Drew Doughty (upper body) is out.
