The Stars and Blackhawks are on the ice here at the AAC, getting ready for tonight's game.
For the Blackhawks, it's a chance to correct one of the oddities of their season. Though the Blackhawks are way ahead in the standings, Dallas is 2-0-1 against Chicago this season.
But the Blackhawks have a lot more motivation than just revenge. Chicago is chasing the first 50-win season in franchise history. That's right -- the Original Six franchise has never won 50 games. Chicago (49-22-7) is in second place in the West behind another team the Stars have dominated, San Jose. Weird.
The Stars will be giving a test drive to goalie Matt Climie, who will be getting his first NHL start this season and only the fourth of his career. He had a 21-16-3 record (2.40 GAA) this season for the Texas Stars. He's trying to work his way into the picture as a possible backup goalie for 2010-11.
Looks like these will be the Stars' scratches: Brenden Morrow (foot), Marty Turco, Krys Barch (calf), Jeff Woywitka and Philip Larsen. Chicago won't have star defenseman Brian Campbell (collarbone).
