Columbus takes the lead, 2-1

DALLAS -- The Blue Jackets scored early in the second period as Antoine Vermette picked up a trickling puck to the side of the net and had an open lane with Stars goalie Kari Lehtonen down on the ice.

The goal puts Columbus up, 2-1. The Blue Jackets, who have the worst mark in the NHL, have not won a road game in regulation this season.

The Stars are nearly doubling the Blue Jackets in shots, yet Columbus has had the better scoring chances.
