FRISCO, Texas -- Stars defenseman Stephane Robidas went through his toughest skating session yet as part of an optional practice at Dr Pepper StarCenter on Wednesday morning. Afterward, he looked and sounded like a guy ready to get into the lineup in Nashville on Thursday, though no decision has been made.
"If the swelling stays down, I should be good," said Robidas, who was put through the paces by assistant coach Paul Jerrard. "I feel good. I'm going to skate tomorrow morning and see how it feels, but I feel good now."
Robidas, 34, was hit in the right foot by a puck in practice on Dec. 20 and has missed six games. Stars coach Glen Gulutzan wants to wait until Robidas skates with the team on Thursday before determining his status for the game. And the coach said he hasn't talked with his staff yet about who might come out of the lineup should Robidas be re-inserted.
