About the Stars

The Stars (28-24-3) are coming off a 4-2 loss to the Los Angeles Kings at American Airlines Center. Dallas turnovers led to the Kings’ first and third goals in the game. The loss dropped the Stars, who are four points out of a playoff spot, to 3-3-1 since All-Star break.

“Being .500 is not what we need to get in,” said Stars coach Glen Gulutzan. “We need to be better than that. Certainly everybody in that room is mad, but we just need to keep moving forward. We’ve got to learn from some of these mistakes and keep going forward.

Kari Lehtonen will start in goal for the Stars.

Injuries: D Sheldon Souray (foot and LW Brenden Morrow (neck/shoulder) are out.

About the Red Wings

The Red Wings (38-17-2) tied an NHL record with their 20th straight home win, defeating the Philadelphia Flyers 4-3 on Sunday.

"We don't want to talk about it," defenseman Nicklas Lidstrom said. "We just want to keep it going. Just go out there and play and win games. That's the approach we've had."

The Red Wings are 5-1-1 since the All-Star break.

Injuries: RW Dan Cleary, G Jimmy Howard (finger) and RW Patrick Eaves (jaw) are out.
