Souray day-to-day with lower body injury

DALLAS -- Stars defenseman Sheldon Souray is day-to-day after suffering a lower body injury in Thursday’s 4-3 shootout win over the San Jose Sharks at American Airlines Center.

Souray left the game midway through the second period.

“He’s out. He’s a got a lower body injury. He’s day-to-day,” said Stars coach Glen Gulutzan. “We’ll see where that goes tomorrow.”

The Stars also lost defenseman Mark Fistric early in the third period to a hand injury, leaving the team with just four defensemen for the final part of the game.

“Fisty should be available for us. He hurt his hand,” said Gulutzan. “X-rays were negative and he should be good to go here.”

The Stars were also without forward Steve Ott, who sat out the game due to back spasms.

“He’s going to be good to go once we can take care of that properly,” Gulutzan said.
