A few notes out of Wednesday's Dallas Stars practice in Frisco.
Kari Lehtonen will get the start in goal Thursday night when the Stars host the San Jose Sharks.
Left wing Brenden Morrow, who has been playing with a groin strain, practiced today.
"The plan was for him to have today off but he felt he wanted to go, so we compromised with half a practice," said Stars coach Marc Crawford. "He said he's feeling better and it's really progressing well. We appreciate that he's not at 100 percent, but last night he was our hits leader and thought he was a real physical force for us. You can't speak enough about the character and determination of Brenden Morrow. He continually displays it. While people on the outside don't realize what he's dealing with and he's dealing with it on a daily basis, I am continually impressed by his professionalism."
Stephane Robidas, who logged 28 minutes last night, did not practice. It was a maintenance day for Robidas, who said he was fine and said he was given the day off as far as the on ice stuff.
Here was the practice lineup for the day:
